Author Info: GohanWinner is the author of Jackpot. He is a teenager, with a love for comedy and geeky things. Currently, the Jackpot is on an undetermined hiatus. He is currently in the work of totally revamping the comic, including change character designs, different updating schedules (not that he actually had one in the first place, anyway), and a different look in general. While it used to be CGed, he was never very good at it, and he has decided to go the route of colored pencils. Relaunch date is estimated to be some time in April.

Comic Info: Jackpot is a comic about a teenage boy who had an unfortunate accident with a slot machine. Accident, meaning, it fell out of a window and slammed on his head. Instead of killing him, it turned him into a person with a slot machine head. And apparently some brain damage. He is joined in his adventures by the noticably less odd Matt, and their friend Amanda.

Jackpot is often mistaken as having a bag on his head by newcomers.

Disgusted by the plot direction he took (and more specifically, a certain strip he had almost completed and lost, and could never duplicate the way he wanted), GohanWinner abandoned the project, fully intending to start off from the beginning. Alas, school, health, and family got in the way, and he has not had the time to devote to rebooting the project he has had bubbling in his head since childhood. As it stands now, he is slowly working on comics to, first last him a full month or two, to update weekly, so that he does not fall so behind, which was the major problem with updating in the past.

The Strip's History: Jackpot has been a pet project of the author since he was a child. Inspired by some funny stories written by his brother, GW begans sketching his own little comics. The designs bore quite a few resemblances (mostly the fact they both wore square heads). Since then, the character has evolved from a boy with a split personality, to a "Freakazoid" type super hero, back to the split personality, until now, where Jackpot is the only personality and his friend are forced to deal with his oddities.

Characters:

Jackpot: JP, of course, is the title character. As is usual with the main character, he's an oddball, never really sitting still. THis annoys his best friend, Matt, who is decidedly normal. Jackpot is not stupid per se, he is just...different. Along with his odd behavior, he also has the cartoony ability to pull things out of nowhere and survive explosions. Nifty, huh?

Matt: Matt is totally normal, and as a result, has very much trouble standing Jackpot, who is completely...unnormal. He is never seen without a can of soda in his hand, and the author has never explicitly stated what kind it is (Though he does know). Matt usually winds up throwing in the punch line, at either the expense of Jackpot, or unwittingly answering Jackpot's setup for jokes.
