History
Founded in November of 2005 and headed by King War, the CoCG is a modern attempt at breaking free from the stuffy old visage of the Church.
Founded just recently after an assassination attempt in which one of Pope Claude's crooked knights attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament, the CoCG ushers in a new age of religious enlightenment.
It was at this point when King War decided to officially appoint his Order of the Royal Knights and named recent convert Mercury Hat its leader. This has nothing at all to do with the fact that she is currently dating the King.
Philosophy
The Church of Comic Genesis is built upon the simple idea of reformation. We have, at our core, the basic tenets of the religion but without all the loaded agenda of the Pope. We allow our followers to worship the way it was intended, without having to worry about garnering favor with the Pope to avoid an afterlife of damnation. Gone are indulgences and this supposed representative voice of Claude on Earth, no more internal power struggles shadowing the true purpose of the Church.
