Can't Stop The Music is an autobiographical comic strip by EvilDan. Primarily humorous, the strip explores EvilDan's childhood and adolesence, with a focus on his medical condition, treatment, and the events which may or may not have been caused by his illness and medication.
Can't Stop The Music can be best summed up in EvilDan's own words: "When I was a kid I had to take a lot of drugs to stay alive. When I grew up I had to take a lot of drugs to rock the f*ck out." [1]

Plot

Can't Stop The Music begins with Dan being diagnosed with a kidney disease. He is placed on medication, which reacts with cold and flu tablets to give him hallucinations. This goes on for two years. He develops some character traits which disturb his teacher in the extreme, and he is sent to a psychiatrist. Eventually, the doctors admit that it is the fault of the medication.
Dan and a friend dabble in underage drinking, and manage to keep it from their parents. Dan goes to stay with his cousin in Ceduna, where they go to considerable effort to find out what smoking is like. On his return, an incompetent doctor fails to put a drip in Dan, and even cuts him open in an attempt to find a vein.
The drugs have stunted Dan's growth, so Dan (who hates needles) is offered the chance to inject himself with hormones every day for three years. Also, Dan fails to learn from his previous experimentation with cigarettes.
Dan and his friends decide to build a club house and spend the night in it, on what turns out to be 'the coldest May night in seven years'[10]. Sam drinks a sixpack of Strongbow and throws up in his shoe.
