The Dragonslayer Chronicles

CHRONICLES is a new web comic started in the summer of 2008 that is set in a Medieval/Fantasy-genre world; it's a tale of adventure, romance, and chivalry, with a mix of comedy and spoofs on many over-used ideas of the genre. This comic is intended to be more like an actual story than a comic being run so that it lasts forever, so if you are new to the comic please start at the beginning so you can understand everything that's going on.

The story of Chronicles is set in a world known as Terin, where magic once flourished and ruled, but the non-magical, and more common, people of Terin were terrified of the unknown powers of the magical creatures, which seemed to grow and spread every day.

So the fearful peoples of Terin banished all magic from their world, hoping to claim some of the power that they felt was being taken away by those who could wield magic. Centuries later, the forces of evil have begun taking advantage of the long lack of magic in the lands of Terin, as protective spells and powerful seals begin to deteriorate and break, releasing the shadow beasts that once ravaged the land.

And those who were banished so long ago have been returning to their homelands, slowly, over the last century, unwilling to let another decide where they should live or die. The confrontations are mounting, and it won't be long before the shadow beasts try to claim the world of Terin for themselves. Few would be able, or willing, to stand in their way. To find out more, you'll just have to read the comic for yourself!

Extra Information:

CHRONICLES is run by a college student, which means there will never really be a consistent update system. The plan is to try for once a week, although it may be two weeks in-between updates. But again, this comic is run by one college student, and doing a comic page takes time. So please, be patient for updates.

General Rating: PG-13 - think PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN when you're reading what is below

- Romance: Nothing graphic or 'mature' is shown (aka 'R'-rated); kissing, hugging, and some scenes that indicate more is all that will be shown

- Language: I will have an occasional 'damn' or 'crap' in there, but I do not use really big profanities, nor do I intend to use curse words very often; only if there's a really good cause for it to be in there. Mostly what you will find is 'drat,' or one of those little thought bubbles with a big black scribble to indicate irritation.

- Violence: There will be fighting and some wars with swords, bows, axes, and monster claws, so there will be blood, but there won't be anything overly graphic or stupid.

The Comic Genesis comic ratings are somewhat confusing and strangely limiting, so while I tried to be as accurate as possible, I feel the need to explain how I personally rate the comic, so while the comic ratings themselves may say I'm 'looser' in some areas, these are my actual limits and I am not about to say 'oh there's going to be no cursing' when in fact there will be. The other ratings for the comic that I have not gone over should be accurate.
