Step into the lives of broke college students who are struggling just to stay in school.

Plot
There isn't really a plot to this comic. It is based on the characters, conversations, and experiences of college life. The characters of the first and second season were based on Mizark's friends (with their consent) and most of the instances are take way out of proportion due to my crazy imagination. Anything you see in here is most likely an extreme version of something that might have happened, or something we've joked about doing.
The Second Season side comic (which updated on Saturday's and is based on the midget and floating head) is completely random stuff which comes from Mark's randomness, and is helped along with suggestions and comments that others make. Their plan is to take over the campus, and then the world. The effects of their adventures will show up randomly in the actual comic.
The Liberty's Jewell's webcomic is no longer in commission, however, Mizark will be doing a new webcomic called In Slow Motion. The cast will change and will be fictional (although based on real people in some ways). The logistics are still being worked out, but it should start being updated in early 2007.
Chapters
These comics haven't moved in "chapter" format as some tend to... but there are backstories to some of them. This is Mizark's commentary on what inspired the comics and what was left out of each one. Some of them are great and some of them suck; as is life.
Season One
Ch. 1 : "The Pilot" 1 thru 3
We mess with Kevin a lot. He gets pretty pissed off and its funny to us. Shane was also just getting adjusted to our group, thus he did his own thing. He bragged about being able to pole/strip dance. End of story... beginning of the comic.
Ch. 2: "Caffiene & Conflict" 4 thru 5
We spent tons of time hanging out and hit up "Waffle House" everynight. My caffiene addiction grew to unbelievable levels. And our pissing off Kevin for fun was starting to stress our friendship some. Both = funny.
Ch. 3: "Eyebrows" 6
Helmet and I realized that I forgot to draw eyebrows on Shane's character... so instead of correcting it, we incorporated it into the comic. Woot.
Ch. 4: "Spam" 7 thru 8
Yes, Kev did find Spam in the community bathroom in our dorm. He'd never had it before, it was still packaged up correctly, so he decided to try it. He liked it and actually finished all of the cans which the people were throwing out. He didn't really die. He didn't even get sick. I just predicted that he would... guess the lesson is: don't listen to me.
Ch. 5: "Spring Break" 9 thru 10
After having looked forward to break for weeks and weeks... it was basically the most boring thing in the world.
Ch. 6: "Eyebrows; Revisited" 11 thru 12
I decided to give Shane eyebrows. The dialouge in both comics is what its like to talk to us. Fun, eh?
Ch. 7: "Kevin's Comeback" 13 thru 14
After his death in comic8, he was only in the spring break one... he complained, so I put him in again. Afterall, he didn't really die. The first focuses on how much he complains and then messes with anyone else that complains. The second is on him and Helmet's dysfunctional friendship.
Ch. 8: "Procrastination" 15 thru 16
These focus on how Shane and Helmet could somehow get me to put homework off whenever I tried to sit down and actually be productive. That's what friends are for though, right?
Ch. 9: "Prom" 17
I went to prom with my girlfriend (who was a senior in high school). Everyone gave me crap about it cause no one had seen me dressed up... ever. I wore a tux both times that she took me. She has pics to prove it (so do I).
Ch. 10: "The 'New' Kev" 18 thru 20
Kevin kept trying new diets, but didn't really follow them all too strictly. He also began contemplating what he wanted to do with his life. It's not that we don't do the same here and there... but it was fun to mess with him (sorry kev).
Ch. 11: "Final's Week" 21 thru 22
It was the week of our finals... its a crazy time of year. Procrastination, hard work, all-nighters, videogame tournaments, tons of stress, much caffiene and sugar, packing everything up to move homw, and naps galore. When you toss all those things together, you have a crazy week.
Ch. 12: "Summertime" 23 thru 26
Summer hit, we all went our own directions, and tried to stay in touch. The 26th comic is the last of the first season and the last one I made in 2005. These one's basically speak for themselves... however, I think my personal favorite has to be comic number 25 which is about high school graduates. I think it's probably more true than I would like to admit.

Background
- The comic was officially started on February 23, 2005
- It was put on its first extended hiatus as of June 6, 2005 and officially ended the hiatus on March 13, 2006
- Because of unplanned changes and complications (such as wrist surgery), Mizark once again placed the comic on hiatus in May of 2006 and decided to start a new project rather than ressurect Liberty's Jewell's once again.
- The original cast included: Helmet, Kevin, Mizark, and Shane
- Second season cast: Mizark, Shane, Whitni, Sam, and Helmet (Floating Head and Midget are also side characters)
- These were based on our actual lives, however the characters do not say or represent what the actual people believe.
- No, there isn't an actual midget or floating head that follows us around campus. Yet...
