About

There are parallel worlds, and of those worlds aware of this fact, there have formed two distinct factions. One of these factions, the Federation, wants to leave the un-aware worlds alone, and has banned interactions. The other appears free of this limitation. The comic setting starts in but quickly skips from a high school in our world to a superficially similar but more advanced otherworld controlled by the Federation.

The plot is kicked off by the appearance of a dark and dangerous man named Sein, who seems intent on manipulating the more sensitive and troubled Reid. He appears to want to pull Reid into the affairs of the parallel worlds for reasons unknown. However, the actual flow of the plot is more driven by the characters, as well as a particularly lengthy action scene.

The author does not have necessarily plans for a deep or highly meaningful plot, and wp notes that the comic is a personal project. However, at least two of the fans, Isa and JG, have expressed interest in the characters, claiming that there is depth and subtlety, intended or not.

The official status of the comic is "One foot in the grave", but wp is stubborn. The author wp has continued to update despite considerable difficulties.

Characters

Reid
A brooding, eccentric man. He is plagued by nightmares of remembrance. He can be quiet and withdrawn, or outspoken and tense. He very nearly conveys the sense of a sensitive but isolated scholar. He occasionally surprises those around him. Opinions about him prove as uncertain as his nature.
Jill
Jill is a high-school student, who, at the time of the story, is very depressed. One of her friends seems to have run away and disappeared without warning, and her brother recently committed suicide. Like all people confronted by pain, she questions herself, looking for some fault or failure. She wonders if Reid might be suffering from the same problems as her brother.
Claire
Claire is a friend of Jill's and fellow student. She is very protective, being rather more aggressive and assertive at the time of the comic. She is rather sure of her expectations of people, and although this might make her seem superficial, she is a good friend.
Jason
Jason is a soldier in the alternate reality, an old associate of Reid's. He seems to have bad luck, and disaster has been following him recently. He has become somewhat notorious for various scandals that have resulted in destroyed government property, and to boot, he is something of a rule-breaker. Notwithstanding this, he is rather straightforward and, it seems, easily seen through. However, he proves rather competent, and there is the sense that he is not entirely at fault.
Jennifer
She hasn't been very thoroughly developed yet as a character. She is a friend of Jill's. She was known for running away from home on a regular basis, but she always came back...until recently.
Victor Sein (minor)
A manipulative, likely unscrupulous, man. He might just be a villain, and he wants something.
Dorlan (minor)
A military man.
