Plot
Seventeen-year-old Aleda moves from Southern Spain to a small, boring town in Delaware just before her Senior year in High School. Delaware doesn't stay boring for long, though, and she finds herself in the middle of a conflict that has lasted for millenia.
Chapters
Ch. 1 : "Grey Morning" 1 -
Aleda goes to her first day of school and has to adjust to a new country, new people, and a vastly different school. She meets a cute boy named Nate in homeroom.
After homeroom, Aleda's classes really start. Her first class is American History. Not only does she know nothing of the subject, her teacher Ms. Tyler is absolutely awful. Second period is English class. She sees Nate again, and meets a girl named Mara.

Background
"Madrugada" was started as a series of rpg characters that evolved into a family with a full history. As a result, all main characters have a full backstory. Depending on the course of the comic, these backstories may or may not ever be revealed.
The comic is organized into chapters, each with a handful of pages. These chapters are similar to storyarcs, except that there is no guaruntee of the solution to any of the current conflicts in the story. This is a result of the comic itself being a visual rendition of a pre-written story.
The main character, Aleda, has a very mixed background: her mother is indeterminate Scotish/Irish, her paternal gradfather is Spanish, and her paternal grandmother is half British, and half French.
