Created by Jake D'Lallo, is a sarcastic and obscenely literal look at the world. From the fantastically absurd to the pain of heart ache to the joys of exploiting child labor and nostalgic references; it holds nothing back. Hardly any comics are connected and characters are rarely repeated. The mature rating is due to its humor and "shock value" dialog and visual gags. Due to the art style there is no nudity, but Jake hopes to change that but do it in a way "no one will understand".

Characters
Very few characters in the comic repeat but there has been a few that people liked so much that they bore repeating.
The One Eyed Man
He first appeared in the 8th comic appropriately entitled One Eyed Man and was later repeated in the 60th comic entitled Pluck 'n Draw.
Jason O'Sullivan
Jason is a little boy that seems to have some rather bad luck. He first appeared in #22 The Ant Colony Effect and was later repeated in #59 Tranquil Puddle and again in #87 Nervousness. He quickly became a favorite of fans and the author alike and he became the unofficial NTFL mascot.
Though his name is never mentioned in the strip it was created when Jake asked fans to throw out some names and he'll keep the first one he liked.
Jake D'Lallo
Jake has placed himself in several comics in order to convey that some of the conversations shown in the strips are based in real life. Though a good majority of the comics have a character that represents his view the first time he was actually depicted with his glasses and brown ponytail was in #37 Atheist Religion. It took a while for him to be a common fixture in many different strips.
Jesus
Jesus has shown up, like he so often does, in NTFL several times. He has been depicted in three different ways. The First, as an irreverent prankster while alongside God, the second as a deranged supernatural psychotic killer and the third as a misunderstood, misinterpreted godly figure.
