Not ANOTHER Vampire Story!
Plot
Aokai is a partial vampire - basically meaning that she retains important human things, like the need to eat, breathe, and not dematerialise. She finds this very limiting to her way of life, and often endangering of ANY way of life she might have. So when she hears of a man who has created a way to complete the transformation, she naturally sets off on a quest to find him.

Ch. 1 - "We Do Not Walk Through Walls"/Beginning
Characters
Aokai: The main character, a part-vampire. She lives constantly on thr run from both vampires and their foes, for various reasons. Unlike full-vampires, she has no reservations about befriending other species, often to her disadvantage. She has her own logic, which does not always follow generic logic, and does not always work out.
Nita: Aokai's loyal gargoyle. There's another one, but it hasn't been inclined to move, and most likely will not. This is probably due to something besides the author's laziness. Hopefully.
Zoe: A past acquaintance of Aokai's. Little is known about her, except that Aokai wronged her somehow and is guilty about it. Presumed to be a full vampire, but unknown.
'Zoe's Kid: Just that. Presumed also to be a vampire. Not a blood child of Zoe's.
