A pretty, full-colour comic with an epic plot. Penumbra is a story about magic, fairies, multiple worlds and the balance between light and dark.

Plot
In the Penumbra universe there are five different realms: fire, water, air, earth and life. Each of these is ruled over by the god who created that world. "The gods created one world together to satisfy their own curiousity, as a plaything, an experiment. Together they carved the mountains, painted the skies and shaped the rivers. But when the world was complete they fought over who should rule it. While they battled, drops of their blood fell to the planet and the conflicting magic in it filled the world with power and brought it into chaos.
As the magic merged, it became even stronger than the gods themselves.
Unable to destroy or completely separate this new frightening power, the gods split the rogue magic into different realms, different realities, to keep the world stable. The realms existed in the same space, bound together, and though completely invisible to each other were separated only by magical barriers.
From each god, a world was formed and ruled by them.

A fairy born from shadow itself and joint heir to the fairy throne. However, Lilith is reluctant to become queen, shying away from the limelight. She dislikes the feeling that her destiny was mapped out from her birth and wants to choose her own place in the world, feeling there's more to her life than being queen. As a shadow fairy, Lilith is naturally drawn to bright lights and fire, as well as magic and the mysterious. |

She's perky and bright, and eager to inherit the throne and the glory that comes with it. Friend to many fairies, this sunlight fey is loyal with a strong sense of duty. At times she gets a little exasperated with her twin and cannot understand the reasons for her behaviour, but still loves her very much. |

She is occasionally clumsy and usually ditzy but she has a kind heart and is very passionate about what she believes in. Her dream is to become a Lead Healer. |

Serefina, ever the enemy of her brother, deliberately altered the spell so that when Sylph cast it on her fiancé it blinded him. Forced to develop his sight in other ways, Neifion is now said to have the gift of clairvoyance and fortune tellers commonly pray to him, reading the future in pools of water. |

Commonly known as Pan, he is seen as a playful spirit of joy, and the festivals in his name are the most lively of all. Comic Facts
- You can tell which realm a chapter is set in by looking at the border. Each realm has a different border which corresponds to the borders on the gods pictures in the prologue, and also resembles that realm's element.
