My comic book is based in a modern fantasy setting, with humans, elves or mercurial and Nosferatu. It is about a group of young adults who are tasked with doing great deeds for the betterment of everyone. The characters in the story are mercurial in a world of racism controlled as it always has been, by humans�. and poverty where technology has been reduced to black powder and the strength of your sword arm. Mercurial are basically elves and are the direct decendants of the soldiers of Project Mercury. The Nosferatu are the cursed cousins of the mercurial and are the product of chemical radiation fallout reacting with the Mercury virus.

About Mercs
Mercs are the main characters of my story. The slang term 'mercs' is short for Mercurial the elvish beings resulting from the great war. Below is where i will tell you about some of the Mercs, although I won't update with a new merc until you meet him/her in the story.
Characters
Pagan
Pagan is a soldier. He takes orders and does what it takes to ensure the success of the mission. He also has latent telekinetic powers, schizophrenia and a spirit guide. When he was a child, he was playing in the ruins of a temple with his "imaginary friend". A group of teens (brotherhood wannabes) assaulted him, and clipped his ears. This traumatic experience separated a part of his psyche into what he thinks is one of two spirits that saved his life. The first, Rioichi, materialized from the shadows, tearing his assailants to shreds, literally. the second, Mariko calmed him and helped keep his spirit tied to his body until help could arrive. Rioichi is the rage and violent emotions from Pagan's personality. He can , in times of great need, utilize Pagan's telekinesis, but the effects are always violent, and Pagan has no control over him. Mariko is the spirit of a little girl who was killed many years before when the temple was destroyed by the fledgeling precursor to the Brotherhood. She enhances Pagan's combat ability to super-human (er, elven?) levels by leading his mind into a zen-like state during battle. Mariko has never seen Rioichi, nor has anyone else, but Pagan insists he is real.
Danin Winterfire (Flesheater)
Danin is the appointed leader of the team. He can manipulate the wavelength and energy level of electromagnetic radiation. this allows him to project a blast of radiation (harmful or otherwise) from his hands. The catch is, the radiation causes some damage to his own hands, so he must use this power sparingly. In the team's first real battle, he saves the life of his teammate, Mindgame. He also has an on-again/off-again relationship with Kiera.
Nosferatu
Nosferatus are genetically enhanced beings that the world fears, and with good reason. They feed on Mercurials, but they�d rather feed on the ones that aren�t mages. They try to infect the mages to help their numbers grow.
Once becoming a Nosferatu they are deemed sterile and only those that could perform magic before becoming a Nosferatu can do magic, and like vampires, Nosferatu are very sensitive to light.

Just wanna say i appreciate those who have read PM so far, and tell you to please tell others about us. This story is very extensive and it will get hot and heavy quickly. I have finally begun posting the new pages now. I intend to post one a week until Luis, the inker and myself get on a regular schedule, then who knows....I may begin posting two maybe even three times a week. check back as i will regularly update the bios of characters as well as adding more as they enter the story. Im thinking of even running contests through there starting soon for original artwork and whatever else i can think of so definately take part in that. that's all for now.....
