Description and History of The Pink Cavalier

CJ Burgandy

World famous fashion designer who resides in Beacon City. Her first appearance was in the first issue of Masked Monkey where she was kidnapped by the arch-nemesis, Crossfire, and was held ransom for $1,000 and the world's supply of Bananas. It's not totally clear if Masked Monkey had really saved her to preserve her life, or to save the world's supply of Bananas.

Throughout the early years, CJ was used as the token damsel in distress, but was considered a good role model for the modern girls of the 50s due to the fact that although she was often kidnapped, she was also a working woman, had delectable taste in clothes and never offered her body in return when she was rescued.

Liberation

The women's Lib movement of the 60s and 70s progressed her character to reveal a stronger side. Soon, she was seen freeing herself from captors and warning Masked Monkey and the rest of the Giga Squad of plots that villains had revealed while she was captive.

The Pink Peril

In the 80's, to give her an even more fashionable aspects, she was revealed to be a lesbian in a shocking issue where, Billionaire Playboy Monkey, Keon Dawg, proposed to her. Shortly after that, CJ started going bad. She became the fashionable Villain, the Pink Cavalier. In the few issues of Rocket Claude vs the Pink Cavalier, her main goals almost always involved some scheme to kidnap the women of Beacon City to be a part of her all female harem, or an attempt to force the Senator's daughter, Kisai, to marry her.
