Rocket Claude II
Powers
Rocket Claude's powers include superspeed and flight, he also has above average strength and a rather high tolerance for pain which has been built up after crashing into wall after villain after wall.
Description and History of Rocket Claude
Rocket Claude is a brash young ex politician, once a member of the cabinet during the administration of Dr. Bob. He decided to become a hero to make up for his crimes as the Minister of Offense.
He carries the mantle of the original World War Two hero who fought for the Allies. His origin was less than graceful; coming home one night from the bar full of drink and remorse after the collapse of Dr. Bob�s presidency, Claude Casper stumbled drunkenly into the display case of a pair of antique goggles he�d bought some time ago. Picking up the goggles, he felt the strange urge to put them on, and as he did, the voice of his deceased predecessor told him that he must carry on the legend and join the forces of good.
Giving up his fortune and reputation among the high society, Rocket Claude moved to the coastal city of Fisham, and began to fight against the tide of corruption brought on by the presence of evil Mob boss "Faceless" Malone. Rocket Claude�s inexperience was proving a major handicap and while he had had victories against the Faceless man, there was nothing permanent he could do to stop him. Despite this, it wasn't long before the vigilante made front page news and he was visited by other established heroes. The charitable Masked Monkey approved his membership application to the Giga Squad Team and since then, he�s assisted in the best way he can: a bit awkwardly and without experience.
His frequent confrontations with Moomanman are probably Rocket Claude�s worst character trait; he just can't stand the whining about MMM�s metal arm. Of course Moomanman can take RC down with it anytime he wants to. Stupid Kid.
Other encounters also confuse and enrage RC, such as whenever he meets a hero or villain who has been in the business an even shorter period of time than he has. A brief adventure in his old stomping grounds of Beacon City battling the Pink Cavalier is a good example.
He�s not especially popular with readers of the Rawk Out series, many of whom long for the return of the �one true� Rocket Claude.
