Plot

Things are really only just getting off the ground, as Lucy fumbles through learning the basics of live in the six worlds.

Background

The setting of Retro Tales is that of RetroMUD, a free online RPG that's been kicking around since 1994. This may cause one to suspect that perhaps the whole comic secretly exists solely to advertise the game. This is not the case. Firstly, there's no secret about it. Second, the comic places a higher priority on little things like, you know, being funny and entertaining. So, people who like one will likely like the other, but you're not going to see any blatant shilling.

The characters on the other hand are not at all based on characters from RetroMUD. Sure, a few might be composites, maybe even directly inspired by particular people, but you'll never find the same person in both the comic and the game (unless of course someone goes and starts basing game characters on the comic).
