Riding the Medium Bus is a webcomic by Katie Powell. The comic started off as a harmless little senior project and quickly got out of hand.The comic documents some real events and some "would be cool if it was real" events.
The main characters are drawn as part animal or as fairies, with siblings and families being of the same type, this is done because the artist is taking the easy way to making iconic characters, that and the tails are a lot of fun to draw.

- Kate's little sister, Redhead, Werewolf and Utterly Dismissive of the Whole Thing, Would kill me if she wasn't on the top of this list, Ozzy is her dog and drooling worshiper.
- Katie
- Supposedly the one this thing is all about, Werewolf, Scholar, and a Lady, she has a bad tennis ball chewing habit. spells sure with an "h".
- Kevin
- Not a dumb blonde fox; fox yes, dumb no. Resents his role none the less. alter ego: Logic Man.
- Stacy
- Pixy with mood indicative wings, not quite shure how she ended up as Kate's friend. Still thinks trick or treating never goes out of style.
- Alex
- RATMAN! Has scene attended a sleepover, accidentally fell asleep at 5am. Makes his own energy drinks.

- Little blue cat. "Cute", Inert.

Prehistory
in 9th grade my friend Jami the Elf started drawing cartoon kitties of everyone she knew but refused outright to draw one of me claiming "kitties don't trip over their own feet and then curse about it" in retaliation I started to draw my own cartoons parodying our relationship with her as an easily irked elf and myself as a gawky tall werewolf.
in 10th grade I joined the Endeavor program and made a few more friends who I then started to draw none but me was at that time pictured as part animal.
then in 11th grade, I realized its much easier that way, as I don't often have to draw noses and no matter how hard the muzzles are to get right human profiles are still not my strong suit.
for senior year I started publishing on the web. I turned what was previously just a collection of vaguely funny in-jokes scribbled on notecards, into a real webcomic for my senior project.
