Summary

One of the many Warren comics scattered around Comic Genesis, Spare Change follows the lives of several ordinary twenty-somethings as they blithely stumble through life.

The comic mostly seems to center around Phil, a mustachioed techy-guy (and quite possibly the embodiment of Warren), and Trudy (his wife). Others in the cast include their roommates (another couple named James and Jen), Dan, his girlfriend(?) Hannah, Rhett, Amy, and the extremely seldom seen Jer.

Art

Spare Change will never win any awards for Warren's artistic abilities. That said, the newspaper format strip seems to have it's own charm, and will draw the reader in. It is one of a dying breed of webcomics that still is produced almost exclusively in black and white. But it seems to fit the comic well.

Other Stuff

Spare Change is one of the oldest comics on Comic Genesis, and started September 22, 2000. It has continually updated (with two one-week hiatuses) since January 2001. The comic is also one of the rare breed to reach 1500 different strips that do not consist primarily of filler, fan art, or excuses about a broken scanner.
