The Comic
Stitches is a fantasy/romance, manga-style comic, reading left to right. The main story is yuri/lesbian, but gays and straights are in there too. :) The main plot is about Lor and Jak, two twins and young students of Angel's Institution, discovering strangers.
Angel's Institution
A.I. is the mandatory and only school that Rii attend on the island of Riizaed. Anything outside of A.I. is an unknown zone to the students, and they're taught not to think beyond that. A.I. was created by, for, and controlled by Zeile, a pseudo-God to the students, and everything in and about A.I. is done to serve Her wishes. A.I. is entirely surrounded by seemingly infinite Walls, which have no exits, keeping all students in and all outsiders out. Or so they're supposed to, anyway.
A.I. teaches students that Rii are the superior race and the purpose of life is to serve those higher than you. Within the school students are divided into nine levels, and the lower you are the less power you have.
Students who break any of A.I.s teachings - anything from speaking well of other races to showing up late for class - are severely punished via painful detentions.
The Creator
Yeaka's the artist/writer/everything-else. She also works on her sister's comic, Galacticus, and is on DA.
Characters
Lor
Lor is a young student of Angel�s Institution with a little too much curiosity for her own good. She has an odd affinity with wings and a twin brother named Jak.
Jak
Jak is Lor�s twin brother. He has far too much curiosity for his own good.
Niki
Niki is visiting Angel's for reasons still unknown to Lor. She came with Frou, and hasn't done much since coming other than draw Lor. She doesn't seem to care about anything else.
Niku
Niku is a powerful dragon, one step below Zeile. He has a dark, though generally disinterested personality. A.I.'s visitors seem to be his enemies, Gabe his friend, and Jak and Lor his toys. (There's a lot to him Lor doesn't understand.)
Gabe
Gabe is Niku's very jovial friend. He's perpetually excited, and might have ADHD. He likes playing with little kitties like Jak and Lor. (And he wants to wear kimono-like clothes someday.)
