Suicidal Chewing Gum is a webcomic, drawn in and anime style, that tells the strange and almost unbelivable things that happen to and around its creator simply known as Artist. It is based widely on her own life experiences. The humour contained within draws from the creator's surroundings, sometimes leading to many surreal moments and other wildly absurd events occuring throughout the course of any given strip.

The comic willingly abandons a conventional story in lieu of offering up a series of seemingly random experiences conveyed into the comic style format based on what happens to Artist in reality. Offering undeniable proof that truth is, and always will be, stranger than fiction.

Suicidal Chewing Gum is actually run by a trio of creator's;

• First there is Aritst; obviously the most important person as she creates all the fantastic pictures telling of the strange things that occur in her life. She is obsessed with all kinds of anime and Manga, which shows in her drawing style of the webcomic.
  
• Secondly there is Tech Guy; The man with the machine. Since the Artist isn't very computer literate she brought Tech Guy in to handle the mechanical part of the comic making process, from registering with Comicgenesis, uploading the strips, writing this article, placing the text balloons on the scanned strips and basically running and maintaining the website.
  
• Finally but by no means leastly there is Muse; A crazy friend to the Artist, it seems to be her role to provide material by inspiring and movtivating everyone around her to new levels of weirdness. She does this without even trying. She is also the creative wonder that came up with the name of the webcomic.

Characters

All names have been changed to protect the stupid.

*Lou-lou Her strange personality is an exact replica of Artists attitude in real life. She is a hopeless oddball with an obsession with all things anime and manga. All things cute make her melt and she is easily embarrassed by sexual innuendo. Currently studying at college to earn a degree in childcare she intends oneday to become a teacher. The comic book version has long, slightly messed, brown hair. althought the colour is not obvious in black and white. This is more of a parody of her appearence in real life as her hair seems to be easily messed up by any passing breeze. A lover of chocolate and a seeker of natural highs brought by coffee, sugar and stimulant drinks like Red Bull. Although everyone who knows her acknowledges that Lou-lou on a sugar-high is a dangerous being.

*Jack The boyfriend to Lou-lou. He often becomes the straight-man against her comedic backdrop but has been known to make many witty one-liners on occasion. While he appeares to be goth he is not considered by others to be a true goth because he wears blue jeans, a gothic no-no. A lover of gadgets and coffee he stands at 6,3". His own attitude is just as odd as Lou-lou's, at times even more so, and he often persuades her to take part in some of the more adrenaline-incducing events.

*Connie: A friend to Lou-lou she spends most of her time seeking a thrill and dragging everyone around her along for the ride. A lover of chocolate and worshipper of strawberry bon-bon's. However everyone tries to make sure she never eats bon-bon's as they send her hyper. She seems constantly in her own little world and only drags another person into it when she needs a laugh. She has a slight crush on her college teacher, though she denies it constantly. When hyper she starts to sing, giggle incessantly, talks very loudly and flirts with anything that has a pulse. Weirdly enough, no matter what the tempterature, she always feels cold. She is the cause of many mental scars to Lou-lou and is proud of it.

Anyone and everyone can be a character within the webcomic. If you are seen performing something odd and/or embarrasing around any of the three creators then beware because those events will end up in a strip.
