General Info

The Final Fantasy 6 Comic (or "FF6C" for short) is hosted by Comic Genesis. It is also a fanwork and not affiliated with Squaresoft. Updates with a new page every Monday.

The Story So Far

The FF6C is a retelling of the 1994 video game by Squaresoft.

It is set in a fantasy world that is just beginning to recover from an epic war that removed magic from the human world. One thousand years later, a creature from a magical race (called "espers") has been found frozen in a mine shaft of a small mountain community. The tyrannical Empire has sent an envoy to the town to obtain the esper. Among these soldiers is a mysterious young woman who appears to have magical powers.

Characters

Vicks and Wedge

  • These two Imperial soldiers are sent to Narshe to retrieve the esper. Their personalities are two-dimensional.

Terra

  • This green haired woman accompanies the soldiers on their mission to Narshe. Her mind is controlled by a device around her head, called a "slave crown". Once the crown is removed, she finds that she has no recollection of her past.

Arvis

  • The old man in Narshe assists Terra in escaping the Imperial soldiers.

Locke

  • A treasure hunter enlisted to help Terra.

Other Things

The Empire

  • The Empire seeks to conquer the world through use of magic. They are getting close.

Narshe

  • This small mining town nestled in the mountains is officially neutral in the conflict with the Empire.

Espers

  • Espers were thought to have disappeared from the human world a millennium ago. The discovery of one in Narshe has caused some concerns.

About the Artist

  • Orinocou (real name J.E. Simon) intends to draw the entire video game, and welcomes comments of encouragement or constructive criticism. She enjoys drawing, vegetarian cooking, and Romance languages. The FF6C has remained a personal project since 2001, but has only recently been displayed online.
