When the Demon King, Shutendoji, creates his new Elite Demons, creatures capable of decimating a thousand Angels by themselves, and invades and defeats Heaven, including its leader, Aven, Hell on Earth breaks loose. Only a Lone Swordsman, a young boy of seventeen, stands a chance at protecting the planet from Shutendoji's reign of terror. But in order to do so, he must absorb the souls of fallen innocents to increase his power... but power always has a cost. The souls he absorbs haunt him when he sleeps or looks at his reflection, and they all blame him for their deaths. Will he be able to stop Shutendoji under immearsuable odds? Shutendoji, the King of Demons

Description: A powerful Demon Lord that created the Elite Demons, destroyed Heaven and killed Aven in the process. Now he seeks to control the Earth itself, ignoring Aven's Omen.

Elite Demons

Description: Mysterious creatures forged by Shutendoji. Little is known about them at this time, but it is rumoured that, under the right circumstances, they could decimate a thousand Angels by themselves. Were the primary cause of Heaven's downfall.

Aven the Avenger

Age: Since the Dawn of Time

Height: 12 feet

Weight: Unknown

Description: The last surviving member of the Four Origins, he was the Leader of Heaven until he was defeated by Shutendoji and his minions. His spirit still lives on within The Lone Swordsman, the boy whom he has chosen as his successor.

The Lone Swordsman (actual name unknown at this time)(Lone for short)

Age: 17

Height: 6 feet

Weight: 165 lbs

Description: The hero of the story and wielder of the holy blade, The Avenger. His bloodline consists of legendary masters of the sword, and he is no exception. Little is known about him at this time.

Kiro

Age: 42

Height: 6'3

Weight: 220 lbs

Description: Lone's father, who taught him the way of the sword. Was once known as the greatest swordsman in the land, until an Elite Demon made quick work of him.

Stephanie Espoir

Age: 16

Height: 5'4

Weight: 120 lbs

Description: A childhood friend of Lone's that moved away a few years ago with her family. She is the only person Lone knows who might still be alive. After leaving his devasted hometown, he vows to do whatever he can to try and find her. Not much else is known about her at this time.

Mysterious Second in Command

Age: Unknown

Height: Unknown

Weight: Unknown

Description: Not much is known about this character, who made a cameo at the end of the first chapter. He is Shutendoji's second in command, and one of his most trusted Generals. Unlike the other Demons, he seems to have a human appearance. Shutendoji implied that his Second in Command has tried to kill Lone in the past, and that this mysterious hooded man was also responsible for the attack on Lone's hometown. He has a scar that always bleeds.
