About Javert

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. Javert is the second of the 'special' magic users, the first being Alexia. He is a very high ranking officer for Coupeale, his homeland. After seeing the other person who specializes in another form of unknown magic, he is contacted by phone, and is told to return to Coupeale to receive his new assignment- whether he saw his results or not. Even though he's annoyed that he doesn't know what kind of magic he specializes in, he returns, regardless. Upon returning to Coupeale, he receives his latest assignment- to arrest Alexia Elridge, in order to punish her for assassinating the king. He believes them, and does as they order. He eventually finds out where Alexia is hiding(due to Mari) and sends the police force there. Alexia and Javert do not meet again until that moment, when he realizes that Alexia is the same girl that he saw when the results were posted. Even though he realizes that the police force may be wrong in their judgement, he still continues to pursue her, due to his initial inability to believe that the law is ever wrong.

Personality

Javert is very stubborn and persistent, and doesn't allow minor setbacks to stop him from completing any assignment he is given. He is also uncaring when it comes to completing an assignment, and doesn't care who's convicted, or why they are. The only thing he cares about is that they are. In his mind, this instantly makes them criminals, and it takes a LOT of persuasion to change his mind. If a person gets to know him well enough, he can be a decent person, perhaps even caring. But this side of his has yet to be seen by anyone. Javert is also a huge fan of the 1800s, and likes the clothing(guys only, as the girls' clothes creep him out. He finds the corset look incredibly creepy, as it's obviously unnatural.), weaponry, and anything else related to that time period.
