Mizuno Umishin has been a member for a couple years, but he has yet to do any real fieldwork as he's lacking a partner. When he goes to find his...it's not what he bargained for! But now, the real question isn't whethe Light is up to the task...it's whether Umishin and Light can ever get along and become true partners!

Plot
Zos Kias focuses around the relationship of Mizuno Umishin and his partner Light as they not only develop their skills as magick users, but also develop their partnership as well. The art may give the first inital impression that this series is a light one, but in truth this series will include many later moments that will dwelve into a darker side.
The characters work for an organization calling themselves "Zos Kias," a small branch of gatekeepers in a relatively quiet area until a gate opened into that specified place (the actual location has yet to be established IF it will ever be). The gatekeepers were created by a council of beings headed by Crowley, and though Zos Kias is small, it has some deep running connections to Crowley himself.
The major characters working for Zos Kias have special powers of the elements called magick user officially, but called "power user" by Umishin. They are seperated into the four basic elements (water, earth, fire, wind) and less commonly, light and dark. Each of these elements is precided over by a deity: Undine, Gnome, Salamander, Slyph, Christian, and Lucifer. After these deities are several levels of beings, the highest being the Council at rank 4, and the lowest being rank 1. The most common beings are at around rank 2 or 3 at most as the higher the level the being, the harder it is to make a contract with it. The magick user makes a contract with his/her being and deity usually at a young age and is given a set of specific powers in limitation for their rank. As of now, we know that Umishin has a rank 3 being named Crystal (under Undine) and that Light's being, yet to be given a rank, is named Raijin (under Slyph).

Ch. 1 : "Finally! A partner! Part 1" 1 (http://kojika.comicgenesis.com/20060710.html) - 18 (http://kojika.comicgenesis.com/20060816.html) Umishin gets notified of a new magick user living isolated on a shoreline. In his search to find it, he comes across a weak magick user, Light, and leaves the boy, figuring he's come to the wrong place. Shortly after his departure, a youkai attacks!
Ch. 2 : "Finally! A Partner! Part 2" 1 (http://kojika.comicgenesis.com/20060820.html) - 20 (http://kojika.comicgenesis.com/20061017.html) Umishin learns of the youkai attack and hurries back to fight it only to find a much larger enemy than he expected! Light has already been fighting, and is losing sorely! Umishin takes a step in and soon finds his magick isn't anymore effective! Just when all seems lost...something awakens inside Light...(GOING TO PAGE 21!!)

- Mizuno Umishin 19 blue hair,sea-foam green eyes He's a very outgoing and naturally friendly person. The kind of people who hates are those who hide their emotions, though in truth he hides his doubt about whether or not he belongs in Zos Kias as he doesn't share the common horrible background theme. He loves animals and loves to be active. He absolutely hates desk work. He can act a little foolishly at times, but he can be very smart when he puts his mind to it.
- Light 17 Blonde hair, blue eyes He's very quiet and especially hates to talk about himself. When he likes someone though, he is not only more talkative around that person, but more likely to show emotions. He's hard to get along with at times because of his lack of wanting to, but he has a good heart and makes a good friend. His past and his guilt eat him away inside.

- Raijin N/A golden and cream fur, green eyes Light's cat. He was found shortly after Seira found Light. He's a very friendly cat who loves people, especially his master. He gets over protective over Light....other than that, he's a bit of an enigma....
- Seira 26 Aqua hair, bluish purple eyes She's very protective when it comes to Light and hardly ever gets along with anyone. She is like a big sister to Light. She's very stubborn and she hates to be wrong.
