"...makes me crosseyed every f***in' time" preceeded by some activity or topic at hand is a running gag of Dominic Durgan, parody comic of a popular webcomic Dominic Deegan, made by re-lettering Dominic Deegan strips in chronological order from the beginning, thus creating a different characterisation and storyline based on same artwork.
The running gag exausts characteristics of original art where characters, when experiencing heavy emotions, sometimes look as if they were crosseyed. This is usually a result of large stress or anger. In re-titled comics, the character usually comments on what made him cross-eyed, usually using the same phrase: "<the cause> makes me cross-eyed every f**kin' time", where the cause is usually something closely related to story that in context of causing crossed eyes, seems absurd.
First occurence of the use of this catchphrase is the fourth Dominic Durgan comic, where title character gets cross-eyed as a result of presence of his pet cat. He comments: "S**t, f***in' angry cat makes me crosseyed every f***in' time!" His cat appears to be angry for some reason which it can't reveal because animals don't speak.
Later, characters get crosseyed by such things as curtain-eating 'tards", Dominic's little brother or getting snubbed by big tv stars.
There are other variations of the same gag: In comic dated to 06. 21. 2006, Dominic tries to cure his atomic headache due to his radioactive brain, by simultaneously choking himself and getting crosseyed. This is a variation of similar gag, referencing awkward pose in which character is in original art.
Elsewhere, another character reveales that getting cross-eyed turns him on.
