Fangirls

Fangirl is a term used to refer to fans of a media who are female.

Usually more able to blend into a normal crowd, fangirls (whether they be fans of anime, other TV shows, video games, bands, movies, or other areas of pop culture) can often be found lusting after a particular or select number of males in their select area of obsession. Fangirls are most often responsible for slash both in fanfiction and fanart form.

In what is perhaps nature's cruelest joke, fangirls rarely ever go after fanboys.
