Flan

A catchphrase origining from Luprand, author of "Netrek", entirely on a whim, and likely in response to someone else's comment on the forums. The original text is lost to the wind, and so much the better; it involved a spoof advertisement that wasn't all that funny to begin with and was kept around too long with increasingly desperate comments from Luprand. For some reason, it was always followed by the copyright symbol; after a few months, even Luprand realized the joke was stale and it passed on into the dustbin of history.

Flan is also a Spanish (And, thanks to Spanish imperialism, a Latin-American) custard. Usually just straight-up custard, It sometimes is flavored.
