Party Outline

The M.E.Charm party was a short-lived political powerhouse formed in 2003 in the lead to the December �03 General Discussion Elections. It's founding member and electoral candidate was mecharm, a scheming and ambitious androgynous young scamp who yearned for power and had his designs on becoming Keenspace�s first President of General Discussion.

It's second member and vice chairman, Sortelli, was an up and coming tentacle monster with high prospects. Initially an independent rival to the M.E.Charm party, his campaign and policies exceeded mecharm's in both quality and popularity, but suffered a single flaw which was that they relied too heavily on the importance of real events. Once he realized this drastic oversight he quickly snatched up a paltry offer from charm to consolidate their resources and merge their campaigns to President and Vice President riding on the M.E.Charm ticket.

Other prominent party members were Warren and Keffria who also jumped on the bandwagon.

Charm was a militant pacifist - he abhorred violence. If elected, he promised to instate an army to help the forum become a peaceful Utopia. It was widely speculated (but not confirmed) that the real purpose of this army was the planned genocide of puppies branded as terrorists.

Dissolution

After losing the 2003 elections to Evil Jamie! by a single vote, mecharm incredulously demanded that there be a recount on account that the convicted felons Sortelli had hired to vote for them had had a hard time pushing the HTML radio button. Jamie pragmatically responded by abolishing recounts. Their loss set in stone, mecharm went into hiding, Sortelli sauntered off whistling with his tentacles firmly tucked in his pockets and the framework of the abandoned party collapsed in on itself, after an unprecedented 10 days of existence.
