What the dilly-o?

I'd like to club whoever thought up "What the dilly-o?" first. It is an utterly stupid phrase. The only dilly-os I'll recognize are those nice-tasting treats at Dairy Queen. --DarkMagician.

It seems to have been the catchphrase of Aka Pella a character from Histeria! aired on Kids' WB from 1998. That was based on the term coming from the hip hop song 'Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See' - by Busta Rhymes on their album 'When Disaster Strikes' released in 1997. Verse - "Silly with my nine milli, what the deally yo?" It actually derives from "What is the deal yo?" - Further proof I have too much time on my hands... --Rusty Knight.
