Do these instructions apply to Windows Photoshop? Because holding control and left-clicking doesn't do anything. To select the background layer, you right-click and select "Background" from the pop-up menu. Also, inverse isn't on the Select menu. Or maybe it's just my Photoshop version? (7.0?)
