History
Though he doesn't remember when he signed up exactly it is known that Lunar was pretty much inactive in the community for a long time. When he finally did decide to get involved, however, he found it to be a place brimming with interesting (if not a bit odd) things to do. Not wanting to get overwhelmed right away Lunar entered ComicGenesis as a simple vendor of beer and nachos during a fight between two more established forumites with the plan that as time progressed he too would become established and partake more directly. This plan proved far to time consuming and boring for Lunar.
Attempts at Increasing His Power Base
Deciding that the fastest most efficient way to improve his standing within the community would be to seize a position of power Lunar set out to do just that. Unfortunately this approach proved more difficult then originally thought. After failing in a rather pitiful attempt to establish himself as an international terrorist and having his scheme to convince both new and returning forum members that he was the new Supreme Overlord of ComicGenesis consistently thwarted by longer standing forumites who knew better, Lunar decided to try and improve his credibility among the community by becoming a member of Keenchat. It would be here that his next pay for power would occur (See Pope Lunar below). Lunar still seeks means of gaining power/respect and has recently entered the 2008 ComicGenesis Arena Battle to prove his worth. As he was beaten in the first match by an inanimate stone this is currently not going very well.
Pope Lunar
During one such session in chat Lunar decided to declare himself pope (he doesn't remember why, though if asked about it he usually replies "I like wearing this hat") and his latest, and currently most successful, bid for recognition began. Lunar thought nothing of his declaration of popehood until he started receiving less the positive comment from members of a certain group that shall remain nameless. Acknowledging that he had hit some sort of nerve Lunar continues to assert and strengthen his position as an alternative pope (although what he is pope of remains to be decided) by luring followers to his cause with promises of sainthood and delicious cupcakes. It should be noted, however, that Pope Lunar bares no malice towards the followers of Pope Claude. This position has been established because Lunar wishes to maintain a friendly relationship with all members of ComicGenesis and because he realizes that were a holy war to break out he would get beat down in a biblical fashion.
Update: Lunar has, for the time being, rescinded his title as pope. Though should the need arise he will take up the mantle once again. All Patron Saints are to be put into reserve status until further notice.

Characteristics
Physically Lunar is pretty much average in terms of physical stature, what distinguishes him is his mask. Lunar is never seen without his trademark mask which is usually either dark purple or black with a yellow crescent moon over the right eye. During his attempt at becoming an international terrorist he switched to a blue hood with a red crescent moon over the right eye. He wears this mask and never shows his true face because he fears losing his mystique. Upon his declaration of popehood he took to wearing a standard pope hat that displayed the ability to conjure various objects from within as the need arises. These objects include a kitten to comfort one Kat North, the tray of delicious cupcakes he uses to sway people to his side, and a flask of rum he uses for drinkin'.
Comic
Lunar's comic "The Wacky Adventures of Lunar and Kirk... and various others" (often abbreviated as LAK by the author)is a fantasy comic which follows the adventures of Lunar Stellaris and Kirk the Red Mage. Early in the adventure these two are joined by Binky the Summoner, who adds her own unique charm to the group. Due to a less than stellar update schedule not a whole lot has happened at this point, however, you should still go and read it if for no other reason than to encourage the author to get off his butt and get to work!
