Yaoi

Homoerotica featuring males. The term connotes a lack of plot outside of sex. Generally considered NSFW. The term is Japanese and is the more extreme / less romantic version of the term shonen-ai or "boy love". Popular myth suggests the term Yaoi refers to a cry of pleasure/pain associated with anal sex, other theories suggest it is an acronym for "Yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi" ("No climax, no point, no meaning"). Or, more humorously, "Yamete! Oshiri ga itai!" ("Stop! My ass hurts!").

Outside the connotations, it is possible for a comic to be called "yaoi" only to indicate male/male sexual content without the comic lacking plot.
