A Legendary Protector; The Prophecy Begins was started by Samantha McAdams in the year 2004. She got the idea from a fifth grade writing assessment, which was supposed to be about a strange creature. She began writing the original script on May 5, 2004. In sixth and seventh grade she attempted to do several earlier versions of the comic, being displeased with all she threw them out. In 2007 several weeks before she started her freshman year of high school she decided to completely redo the script and most of the characters in ALP. She claims to have really disliked the original script by then and the fact that most characters were too heavily based on people she knew and herself. She rewrote up to about half way through chapter three before starting the comic version of the story. As of July 23, 2008 the comic is only half way through Chapter one and Samantha is not that much farther along with writing the script for chapter three.

McAdams' Green Moose Production company, the second, belonging to Vice President of the company, KaLynda Barton's Green Moose Chronicles explaining some of the two girl's fandoms and inside jokes in a Mary Sue sort of manner. McAdams plans to operate as well as a cafe the names and operations of the other two companies as well as the name and type of the cafe are 'being disclosed for suspense' McAdams claims.
