Carnivores is one of the first comics dedicated to the vorarephilia fetish. It is divided into story arcs, with the climax usually being the vore scene.

Plot

Like a porn movie, it has no plot but several climaxes. Just kidding. Each story arc has its own plot.

Arcs

Currently, there are 14 completed arcs in this comic and 10 pre-arcs. The current arc started on May 2nd, 2009, is Arc XV, "Chimber's Deathly Secret".

Pre-Arc #1 - The Carnivores Pilot 0
Someone gets eaten by wolves for Christmas!

Arc I : "Guinness" 1 - 9
A tiger, a raptor, a lion and six wolves all head out on a quest...to set a new Guinness World Record!

Pre-Arc #2 - "Go Get 'Em, Boys!" 10
Saddam Hussein meets a grisly fate.

Pre-Arc #3 - "The Many Faces Of Speedy" 11
First comic to use roleplay characters. I got permission from the players to use them :).

Arc II : "Tolstoy vs. Tolstoy" 12 - 21
Tolstoy the lion meets Tolstoy the bear....the FAT FAT FAT BEAR! And guess who gets eaten? If you guessed the lion, you're WRONG!

Pre-Arc #4 - "Anthrocon Art Jam 2003" 22
First art jam where i got other artists to contribute a small piece of art on a piece of paper.

Pre-Arc #5 - "Carnivores Portrait: Mr. Yum" 23
First "portrait". I met Mr. Yum for the first time at AC '03. He runs a little swamp where things get eaten all the time.

Arc III : "Sharky" 24 - 38
Sharky the huge Great White, makes his debut in this arc...ony he isn't doing the eating...something else is!

Arc IV : "16-bit Theater" 39 - 54
Montecore the White Tiger kills a hapless deer and attempts to share it with preds in the African Savannah....However, the teleporter breaks down and Goku comes to save the day....somewhat. The first arc to use 16-bit video game sprites.

Pre-Arc #6 - "16-bit Theater Outtakes" 55
Props malfunctioning, actors flubbing up their lines, and the occasional practical joke are in this pre-arc.

Arc V : "Big Bad Bear" 56 - 67
Big Bad Bear makes his way to the swamp and meets two potential meals....

Pre-Arc #6 - "Davey's Adventure" 68 - 70
The first pre-arc which lasts for more than one strip, Davey takes the wrong path and ends up as kitty chow. Created in Poser.

Pre-Arc #7 - "Anthrocon Art Jam 2004" 71
An annual Anthrocon tradition, where fans contribute their wares onto a piece of paper.

Arc VI : "Lothan Can't Say No" 71 - 91
Lothan has no choice but to feed predators. It's some curse he's got, I don't know.

Pre-Arc #8 - "Santa Gets Eaten!" 92
Rudolph eats Santa. 'Nuff said.

Pre-Arc #9 - "Evil Eyes Are Watching" 93
They want to eat your babies.

Arc VII : "What Goes On In Real Life" 94 - 98
WTF! NO VORE!! That's pure unadulterated EVIL!!

Arc VIII : "The Return Of Raptavia" 99 - 106
Raptavia returns with a mate and they feast on a regular.

Arc IX : "The Run" 107 - 159
The Doctor and Austin are contestants in a survivor-type competition...only no one's ever survived...Can they defeat the odds and survive?

Arc X : "Ratafen's Endeavors" 160 - 174
Ratafen goes to the Thundermist Village to meet with the Farmer...his daughter's gone missing! Can Ratafen find her before some creature does?

A hungry bear named Maul has a little fun with two foxes, Brian and Kendrick.

Arc XII : "Macro & Micro" 201 - 220
Taking place in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, a battle between Macro and micro brews...

Arc XIII : "Sketches" 221 - 242
Drawn with pencil only, an unlucky knight gets mauled and eaten by various creatures.

Arc XIV : "A Lion Named Lab" 243 - 274
A silver lion named Lab is told the story of how he was born. First time appearance of Aira Fox and Torrle in Echoes form.

Arc XV: "Chimber's Deathly Secret" 275 - Present
Continuing from where Macro and Micro left off, Eddie Chimber finds a Death Note.

Upcoming Arcs

Arc XVI: "Furry Curry" A 6-page arc with as much vore possible. Can it be done?
Arc XVII: "The Story of My Spawns" An explanation of how Austin's Predatorial Spawns work.
Arc XVIII: "Otherselves" Resuming where "A Lion Named Lab" left off, Lab must recover other versions of himself, or he could face his own, permanent death via night terror.

Raptavia Velociraptor 1, 8 Tolstoy in Arc VIII She actually DID give birth.... about 2 weeks before Arc VIII happened. Gave birth to 5 offspring.
Sharky Great White Shark 3, 6 Shared Lothan with Croc in Arc 6 Big and hungry. Need I say more?
Austin Wolfclaw Anthro Deer 9, 14 by Ripper (#9) and by Lab (#14) Tastiest deer out there...I suggest a feast!
Eddie Chimber Coyote 12, 15 None, yet. Worked at Macro-soft Industries under the supervision of Leo Packard. Owner of the Death Note.

Aira Anthro Fox 14 None Forest god, uses leaves for defense and offense. Has a forest which requires one to die in order to escape. Can create hellspawns.
Echoes of Torrle Anthro Wolf Remnants 14 None What's left of Torrle Z Wolf. Appeared in last strip of Arc XIV. Will have a larger role in Arc XVIII.

Trivia

  • The longest story arc is Arc 9. This may be eclipsed by Arc XVIII, "Otherselves".
  • Comic #107 ("No Jokes Here, Just The Doctor") was mislabled as a Pre-Arc. This has been fixed.
  • All the story arcs end with "Eat U L8er!" and a vicious wolf drawing.
  • Since "The Run" (Arc IX), when a story arc ends, the strip is on hiatus until the first saturday of the following month. For example, "A Lion Named Lab" (Arc XIV) completed on 4/18. Meaning the next strip, the strip that starts Arc XV, will not be up until May 2nd.
