Of Zana
Zana took in a young Vanessa after she found her wandering the woods when the girl was only 6. The child was covered in blood and the others with Zana thought the child was a bad omen. Never the less Zana took the girl home with her. She trained Nessa to fight--sensing natural talent in the girl--in a effort to get her to speak. After raising Nessa, Zana was completely against Nessa being ordered to leave the Yandik tribe but couldn't do anything to stop it. Zana now waits, unable to shake the feeling something big is about to happen in the world, and it all has something to do with Vanessa.
Zana lost her left eye in an event to be revealed later in the comic.
Fighting Style
Zana lives by the philosophy of fighting that was passed down to her by her mother. This philosophy is rather simple, one must be faster and stronger than his opponent. In addition, a true warrior must know and understand every weapon and every style of fighting they can in order to truly master and defend against them. This, however, is not something most people can do or are willing to for that matter. As the Shikari, or military leader, of her tribe she spends her life trying to live by this approach to learning weapons. Zana has never put her hands on a weapon she couldn't master but she still understands she has a long way to go to reach the idea her mother taught her to strive for. She also doesn't believe in abusing these talents for personal gain or hateful reason. To abuse one's knowlegde of fighting for such reasons is to cut yourself off from the true knowlegde these abilities and skills and meet your end in a dishonorable way in battle.
