Ethereal Theatre presents....Backlot, a collection of various comics, both original and fancomic, presented by the Storytellers. In short, a story frame to frame a variety of stories, all experimental and some fancomic. The Backlot involves a powerful device called the Holoverse which provides complex universes without the risk of being trapped or fatally injured in them like a Holodeck....well, providing you're not the primary operator that is. Unfortunately when you have the son of Puck as a permanent staff member...expect a full range of unusual adventures outside the Storyteller Features....

Sanity wanted but not guaranteed...

BACKLOT BOOK 1

Prologue : Backlot Begins

Our Hosts are in the midst of preparation for thier 'show' the Storytellers. Narrator Terrance Maxwell, The Mc Coy, and cat, the Spock, Nibs, are finalizing updates to a powerful computer called the Holoverse. Robin Goodfellow, the White Prince, Taylor Van Farkas, The Tall, Dark, and Bishonen, and Jill Smith, Tsundere take care of thier respective fields. That is until Robin gets bored and bugs Jill...

Chapter I: Journey Phatasma

In where a most unsavory situation begins... with a boom.

Cast

Terrance Maxwell

Race: Half-Dragon(?)

Owner and technician of one of the nine Holoverses in existence. Fourth or fifth child in his family had the unfortunate effect of making him the shyest and least ambitious of his family. After all, his only talents laid in creating stories and running the Holoverse. His family tends to have already succeed him in almost all fields with talent. Father is the Headmaster of the Sciences, Art, and Magicks Academy (S.A.M.A.).

Nibs

Race: Nekomata (Cat)

It's not sure whose owner and whose is the pet but Nibs and Terry go back for years. This cat is a big appreciator of logic and snark. Her favorite pastime is playing games ranging from paper to the latest in virtual reality. She does have family but she tends to avoid them at all cost...something about most of them being clinical insane.

Robin Goodfellow

Race: Fey

The third son of the infamous Puck whom serves Oberon is an high school companion of Terry and self-proclaimed best friend. The relationship is more of a nursemaid and ward than anything else. The blond is often woefully inexperienced in both human and spirit worlds. Terry was appointed to help educate Robin. However when they briefly separated in college, Rob became an actor which seems to have made him worse.

Jill Smith

Race: Human

Terry's childhood best friend is not a woman to cross. While she doesn't have exactly a hair-trigger temper, when she snaps, no one except Terry is able to stop her rampages not even her twin brother (which is the reason Jack hates Terrance's guts). A formidable business woman in her own right, she helps Terry run the theatre's business aspect which including contracts with the S.A.M.A and the television studio Jack runs. Seems to beat up Robin a great deal. (The rest of the crew except for Rob himself believes that she actually has a crush on the drama king.)

Taylor Van Farkas

Race: Vampire

A member from a living race called Vampyres, Taylor's family has served the Maxwell clan for centuries. He's relatively handsome and quite culture. Taylor's pastimes often invovle playing with the mostly nave Robin's head and trying to find the right person. Terry and Taylor don't have a normal master-servant relationship like other Maxwells and Van Farkas do. Taylor is a skilled camera person.
