"mcDuffies: is a comic that blends classic webcomic daily strip approach with action and science fiction, sometimes even surreal fantasy. It bares a lot of similarity with | "College Roomies From Hell" which is not a coincidence, as author is a fan of that comic.

"mcDuffies" is about a stuff of the title junk fast food restaurant. Daily activities of these people include, along with preparing food and serving customers, fighting giant rats and crooked politicians.

It is implied that this is not the only fast food restaurant that deals with such problems and that, instead, fast food restaurants regularly serve as some sort of secret police.

Contents

Main characters

Gordon Most active part of the cast when it comes to various adventurous activities. Reckognized as eccentric and reckless, he is often to drag his friends into danger. He is also a gourmet, and reportedly unlucky with opposite sex. He did, however, date Sylvie (see below) later in the comic.

Tommy Rational counterweight to his best friend Gordon, Tommy is often considered an annoyingly perfect person. He has a crush on Theresa, with variable success.

Jessie Gordon's cousin, mildmanered girl with some psychic abilities, in the middle part of the comic she attends "psychic school". She is also known as blunt and tactless. She has a pet snake named "Teo".

Smiley Real name: Bruce. Known as a guy who is always smiling. Seems like nothing can upset or anger him. He is also not very keen to work, and he readily accepts the job of cleaning the floor where he can slack.

Rebeca A short tempered girl who seems to hate everybody, and is often mean. She does, however, feel sad about not being accepted by a group. Has a crush on Tommy.

Other "mcDuffies" employees

Boss Boss, always refered to as "boss", is a boss of "mcDuffies". He's an old-style, half-mad war veteran, very keen of weapon and unneccesary shooting and blowing up.

Liz Very rational, though also very anal, accountant who spends most of the time fixing damage caused to the restaurant.

mcDuffie friends

Teresa Jessie's roommate, a girl with a reputation of "easy woman", though her adventures would be considered mild with, for instance, those from "Rules of attraction".

Sylvia A girl who always appears nice, but at times her mask for public falls off, she appears as selfish and manipulative.

Elliot Smiley's roommate, deaf guy who appears as one of more rational characters in the comic. He visite "mcDuffies" very often.

Slight Another roommate of Smiley, Slight is probably the most demented character of the comic. Hiding some misterious past, Slight is even incapable of communicating with people. He talks with inanimate objects, hears voices and most often runs away from people.

Ray and Blocky Two "opposities attrack" best friends, Ray is a short, long-haired guy who talks a lot, and Blocky is a huge body-builder who rarely ever speaks. They are very protective of each other as it seems they've been friends for a long time. They always waste time around town, so you can run into them at the most unexpected places.

Stick Grodon believes this stick saved his life so he keeps him framed on the wall.

Villains

Mr.Wold Local crooked politician who holds the town in his hands.

Mazzilius Generic evil mad professor. Crew stumbled onto him accidentally, when he killed some of their customers, and foiled him equally accidentally.

Bernstein A misterious gangster who follows Theresa in order to ger something that belonged to her father.

Other characters

Voicey Jones Irritatingly ambicious news reporter.

Doctor Salamon Doctor of "alternative medicine" who sometimes, in lack of better idea, can offer help in some unconventional way. More often, however, he just tries to sucker you out of your money.
