Short Summary
Side Effects takes place in the world of today as five teens go though everyday life until a dark empire is drawn to earth by an unknown force. An accident caused when the Dark legion opened a portal above earth will give these five teens supernatural powers. Now they must combat the most powerful empire the galaxy has ever seen.
Everything a new reader needs to know
The first chapter of this story which may still be under work introduces the key characters, Jaden, Sarah, Nova, Matt, and Orion. The first two of those actually takes place in another dimension so just keep that in mind for later. The key thing for readers to know that much of my story gets BETTER, if you look into the back-story on this page and learn some of the things that haven�t or won�t be told. Also many of your questions regarding the story will probably be answered later. WARNING the following may include spoilers for some people who want to figure it out themselves. I wrote this firstly becouse there is no way id ever be able to explain all this backstory in the comic without having 200 pg chapters without seeing the characters once and nobody wants that. Also becouse i realize that it can get confusing at times and you may want to check here to understand that i DO know where im going...mostly.
Characters
This list is lible to change as new characters are added. (Below is infomation based on the begining, it will and has changed as the comic progresses)
Jaden: His dream job is to work as a police officer just like his father; however his father was injured on the job and doesn�t want his son to experience the same things. Jaden is always searching for ways to help people. He is in love with Sarah but doesn�t know if she feels the same way. He always tries to be the hero in dangerous situation which almost always get himself in trouble. Luckely hes managed to get out of some prity tough spots in the past and has become very strong and brave, and a tad overconfident.
Sarah: The shy animal lover of the five. Her parents both being veterinarians she has allot of time around animals. She seems to be in a cheerful mood constantly. She is in love with Jaden though is too afraid to tell him. Never realy wants to cause any trouble and doesent talk much to other people besides her close friends. Whenever the subject of animal treatment comes up is the only time when you can see sarah angry.
Nova: Sarah�s best friend. She is very calm and inteligent. She has been trained by her father in the arts of deffence so she is very rarely surprised and almost always knows how to handle a situation, unfortunately this gives others the impression she�s always semi bored. She stays up at night wondering if theirs more to life. Her father is a rich millionaire who is very protective of his daughter and has taught her how to defend herself which has lead to her lack of social life. Her father is a advanced arms dealer to the US and multiple other countries. She has been known to be very anti social to other people and doesent make new friends well. The only people she acts even remotly normal are her closest friends.
Matt: A "scoundrel". While he isn�t the best at writing and math he is a dedicated engineer and outdoorsman. Many people are put off by his rough appearance and semi violent tendencies. He almost became a black belt but was expelled for his use of "unorthodox" tactics. He constantly practices archery and likes to pickpocket for fun. Both his parents died years ago and since then he has lived with his uncle who struggles to pay the bills, however he has taught Matt everything he knows about the wild. matt is one of novas closest friends. novas father actualy gave matts father the money to open a hunting store in town.
Orion: The power geek of the group. He uses his games to escape from real life. He has been friends with Jaden for a long time. He is obsessed with fantasy and science fiction so much so that he wishes he could live in that world. Both his parents are government scientist and are away most of the time. Both of his parents are govenment scientist so they arent around alot. With the huge amount of science equipment in the house he has had many chances to "experiment".
