Characters

Currently, there are four main characters:

Darkon Also called Dak by his friends; a young, male human who comes from a very large family and is going to this school through a government grant.

Kitsumi also called Kit by her friends; a female fox girl who has a large competitive streak.

Rose a young human female that is constantly being tormented by a pants stealing fish (Who is a minor character); and the mysterious.

Shade not much is known about this character except that his is accompanied by an exploding hamster Commander Fuzzles.

The Minor Characters, though numerious, we will only mention a few:

Commander Fuzzles, a fan favorite for being cute and dangerous. He is on a constant mission to protect Shade and to deal with any vegitables he finds on the way.

Mr. Fishy, AKA Ralph Carlson Smith the First: A mysterious fish who follows Rose and pantses anyone close to her.

The Dean (Joesph Swift) The head of the Alteria Magic School. Not much is known about him at this time.

Siri, A tanuki girl that appears from time to time in the comics.

Sachiko Rhain A heroin at the Alteria Magic School. Not much else is known at the time except that she is no longer at the school. Best known at this point for blowing up multiple tolites.

In the filler comics of Chi-Summoners, the same characters appear in a warped, majorlly enhanced version of themselves. This currently only includes Dak and Kit as their chibi selves with the ocassional visit from Kitsumi's inner figments of her imagination.

Races

In the world of Crystalisis, there are five confirmed races during this time period.

Human: Humans, or Crests as they are called by the other races, are the most numerous. Humans are the least magically inclined, but the most well recorded in this profession over the other four. All five nations are run by human royalty. The name crest is derived from the crest of the royal family used to exert force by the royal armies during the original nation forming many, many years before.

Fox Druid: Fox Druids, also known as kitsunes by others, were once humans who became appalled at the brutal tactics against the natural world by their brothers. Using the powers of the nature around them, the fox druids drew on the powers of the forest; drawing on the powers of shadow, illusion and primal strength the Fox druids became one with the spirits of the forest to protect it and fend off those that would do it harm. The Fox druids look like the traditional were-fox, with short fur and piercing eyes. Rumor states that this race carry much of the heritage of the spirit foxes when it comes to all actions, little else is known about them.

Mer-people: The Mers, either mermaid or merman, are a water dwelling race that has had few dealings with the surface world. When contact is made, it usually is done with a water elemental mentally connected with the mage. Mers are seen as good luck by lost sailors.

Elemental: All of the Elements are grouped into this one category. After the First Sun Disaster, the kingdoms deemed elementals as a race. Elementals are the embodiment of the land's natural mana reserves and act as any other race. They tend to avoid the average human but have been seen constantly in contact with the other three races.

Watchers: A confirmed race in the fact that their are too many confirmed sightings of a non elemental power. Deemed watchers by the general public before being adopted by the royal families. Watchers appear to be a large glowing eye on top of a robed body, usually surrounded by elementals of wind, light or shadow. Watchers have never been known to interfere in any event in history, but seen at many of them, if not all. Little else is known about the race except they are believed to be the agents of a higher power.

There is record of a sixth race, but much of the record is missing due to a fire in the royal storehouse during the transfer of the racial profiles to the royal library of the Spitfire Oasis royal family.

The Story So Far...

In the first story arc, the story opens with Darkon already on the train reminising about why and how he got there. Quickly, he is joined by the fox girl Kitsumi who seems to take a fast liking to him as they talk about their pasts and how they arrive there. A few cars away, young Rose is being tormented by a group of pantsed boys as we hear about how the mysterious fix, Ralph Carlson Smith the First (aka Mr. Fishy) constantly gets her blamed for stealing pants. She then runs into the two and they hide her from the mob while Kitsumi challenges the fish to a pants off. Then the final character is introduced, Shade. We find him talking to Fuzzles as the hamster dashes off to attack the meal car and destroy his mortal enemy, the vegitables. He catches Fuzzles and then, while lecturing Kitsumi on the dangers of pantsing, he is pantsed himself as they arrive at the school.

In second arc, the entire group has arrived at the great Alteria Mages School. Up to this point, the crew of Rose, Dak, and Kitsumi have gotten themselves in trouble for pantsing the population of the train, and has been summoned to the deans office. While there, the three learn a little about the man that runs the school and the past of one of the greatest summoners to attend the school. Little is revealed about what happened to her up to this point. After sort of promising to stay out of trouble, Kit, Dak, and Rose are forced out of the office into the hall to receive their room assignments. Who will be paired with who?

The third arc, which despite arc two's cover, is the first time they are truly exploring the school and their talents. Rose, Dak, Kit, and Shade were given their room assignments and finally met their roommates. As a side note, Dak is paired with contest winner Marok and Shade has been paired with contest runner up Josh. Kit and Rose were placed together.

In the Summoners' world there are a few terms that may be unfamiliar to the normal fantasy buff, here is a small section on the terms:

The form is drawn from their closest bound element and their personality to form the physical form of the summon. A summon MAY change with life changing events most noted is love, hate, and curruption. A prima incanto is unique to each person.

Affiliation

This comic is also allied with the comic Hidden Legends. The Artist/Writer of this comic is good friends with the Summoners' crew and thus comic exchanges and pranks ensue from time to time between them.

Another comic more recentlly affiliated with Summoners is the comic, Shonen Punk! [2]. This comic Is a neo-technical comic about an anime lover who finds a tape with a random, energetic girl on it. Humor and chaos ensues.
