Conventions are where fanboys and fangirls come to co-mingle and bother any celebrities which may be present. Conventions, most often shortened to cons, are held for such broad themes as sci-fi, but also come in anime, fantasy, and furry variety. Many amateur and professional artists attend cons in order to sell their goods and promote themselves.
